phantom file of claims being submitted

Odd issue. When I create a file to send claims to clearing house, leaving billing code empty, there are a batch of claims that keep going out that have already been marked as done in the claims registry. When I open the file, they cannot be seen. So every time I do this, I get a bunch of EOBs that say duplicate claim. How can I stop this from happening? It ends up costing us money from the clearing house. Thanks

Hmm, are you using Revenue Management to send your claims in ANSI 5010 format? I have seen this issue with print image claims and because of this and other reasons we don't recommend print image claims.

If your tech didn't install the hot fix again, then your slow reports issue will come back again. You should switch to ANSI 5010 claims using Revenue Management (included with Medisoft) and you will avoid a bunch of errors. What clearinghouse are you using?

With print image claims, what we have seen in the past is there are claims in Claims Management that are marked ready to send but there are no transactions on them. So you will keep sending a claim with no transactions to the clearinghouse but the Print Image claim process does not mark these claims sent.

Revenue Management is included with your Medisoft.

You can purchase the setup of Revenue Management from our shopping cart here: https://www.walkerteksolutions.com/prod ... l-support/ . Currently for $250 to setup 1 practice. You have to be on Medisoft v19 or higher.

You "could" set it up yourself, but it will be difficult if you aren't familiar with ANSI 5010 claims. Private message me your contact info and I'll send you the Revenue Management manual.
