I do know know if this has been done to my Medisoft system or not. I keep getting reminders from Emdeon (our clearinghouse) that we need the latest ip/url or we won't be able to send/receive claims/eras.

When I asked them about this, they said the following:
Without updating the IP that is currently in the comm session in Revenue Management to the new URL and replacing the existing jar file to the new jar file you will not be able to transmit claims, receive reports or ERA's
My previous support company said not to worry about it, that as long as i was currently sending everything without a problem, I'd be fine. But, Emdeon makes it sound like it is a future issue, not a current one.

How/where can I check in my system to see if this new url is inputted? I see a Communications section under Configure in the Revenue Mgmt box. Do I look under RElay Health? (I am using V19 of Medisoft btw)

Either you or your Emdeon Re-seller will need to update the URL and .JAR file by Emdeon's deadline or you will not be able to submit claims after the deadline. At this point, you are getting a warning. After the deadline, it probably just won't work.

I'm not sure how to update that. However, I called Emdeon back, they said since MEdisoft is not their software, they cannot do it. But, they have agreements with some Medisoft support companies to update the JAR file for us at a discounted rate. i am calling one of them now to set up a time to do this. I will let you know what happens.

We can do that. I assumed you were already working with a re-seller. Just select the Revenue Management Setup option for $150 here: http://www.medtechsys.net/product/medis ... l-support/ and that also includes 1 month of claims support.

Where did you get the JAR file in the first place? I am getting no where trying to extract information from Emdeon. Also, what service of Emdeon do you subscribe to? Emdeon Office or Emdeon One?

You have to work with an Emdeon re-seller. They are not releasing it to end users, because they don't want to deal directly with end-users to walk them through the process of setting it up within Medisoft/Lytec. We are an Emdeon re-seller by virtue of the fact that we were a Capario re-seller. Virtually all of our Emdeon users were Capario users, but I am not sure what service level at Emdeon most of those Capario users fell under.
