Exception EInvalidOperation in module GPNTX12.EXEat 0002E986

Post by ASHERAROM » Wed Feb 02, 2011 5:20 pm

Dear Gavin,

On Medisoft Advanced 14 SP2, when trying to transmiott billing to Palmetto GBA, I suddenly get the following error: "Exception EInvalidOperation in module GPNTX12.EXE at 0002E986. Canvas does not allow drawing",

any suggestions?

Thank you so much,

Asher

Close all programs and try again. If that doesn't work, reboot and try again. Sometimes, if Medicare has something down on their end, it can cause strange errors - so try again tomorrow.

I expect the GPNTX12 module will stop working at the end of the year because Medicare will stop supporting ANSI v4010. If you want to continue to submit direct to Medicare you will need to switch to another module that supports ANSI v5010 such as Revenue Management by year end. Or you can switch to a clearinghouse that will work with the software that you have.

The error does not let Medisoft's program to even start the modem, so it has nothing to do with Medicare. I don't know what to do.

Will I be able to buy another module that supports ANSI v5010 even for an "old " program such as the 14 sp2?

Thank you,

Asher

Revenue Management is ready now, but it doesn't work on version 14. The assumption is Simple837 is going to update their product to work with ANSI 5010, but I haven't heard a word from them about this. Also, they would have to go back and create a new Simple837 that works with Medisoft v14 and historically they have not updated their product for old releases of Medisoft.

So, the short answer is Revenue Management is the only working solution that I know of. Simple837 "might" be a solution later.

Thank you Gavin,

What do we do abo0ut "Exception EInvalidOperation in module GPNTX12.EXE at 0002E986. Canvas does not allow drawing",

It is persistant, and nothing to do with Madicare, or restarting the computer.

Need your help badly,

Asher

Edit your receiver and see what COM port the receiver is setup on. Then go to Tools -> Modem Check and check the modem on that port and see if it passes the test.

If you have any other software running that utilizes the modem, it will need to be stopped.

Plug a regular phone into the phone line that is attached to the modem. Confirm that you get a dial tone and that you can dial the number setup on the receiver. If you wait and listen to what answers, is it a modem? (sounds kinda like a fax).

You were absoluteky right Gavin!

(As usual)

It was a loose modem telrphone line connection.

Another unrilated question:

How come that when I print the EDI Varification sheet using the same program (14 SP2 Single user) the printed sheets for different providers look deffereent.

For example: For one provcider printout the DX is written (say 295.90), for the next provider is says: "Diagnosis: 1" only.

Thank you so very much Gavin,

Asher

I am not sure what would cause that. If you have the latest version of the module then there is not much else you can do. I have link to the install for the v14 sp2 EDI modules here: http://www.medtechsys.net/medisoft/serv ... ks/#m14sp2
