There are payments that must be completely applied before co

Post by ASHERAROM » Tue Jan 18, 2011 3:10 pm

Dear Gavin,

On Medisoft Advanced 14 SP2, we get randomly "There are payments that must be completely applied before continueing" (we didn't apply anything, we may have erased a transaction at the most)

I went to MedUtils, did the Repair Curency Fields, Repair Payment References, Repair Practice Data, and even 'File maitenance" when we went back to the provider.

After bilind a persom, and trying to go to the next one, we get "There are payments that must be completely applied before continueing" and MEDISOFT FEEZES. We have to go to Ctrl-Alt-Del, and start the whole cycle again for each paitient. Horiffic.

Thank you for your help,

Asher

Hi Asher, there are a few things you can do here.

First, go to File -> Program Options -> Data Entry tab

Uncheck the option Force Payments to be applied.

Now if you get this error, you can click No and continue using the program without having to stop and apply payments.

Then, go over to the Color-Coding tab and check the option Use Color-Coding.

Now if there are any unapplied payments, they should show up in transaction entry with a color coding.

Now go to Reports -> Analysis Report -> Unapplied Payment/Adjustment Report

You want to go back and apply any payments that show up on this report. The idea is to work the report down to where you don't get a printout.

Thank you Gavin,

I think that unchecking the option to Force Payments to be applied solved the problem.

Small things can cause big problems.

Thanks again,

Asher
