I just took over a small practice that was already using medisoft. I have not used medisoft before, only Lytec. The previous biller had sent roughly 7-8 months worth of claims to Medicare using the wrong NPIs in the wrong boxes. I have fixed this problem within Medisoft so claims created now should process correctly but all the claims prior to this change still appear to have the numbers in the wrong box. Is there a way to modify all of the claims that have already been created to reflect this change? Will I have to change each claim one by one? If the answer to either of these is yes, what is the way in which i might do this? Thank-you so much for your help. My new provider is drowning and I really want to throw him a lifeline.
