Version 17 of Medisoft is going to be the one that is Version 5010, and any versions below that will not be in compliance after 1-1-2012, is this correct? And if so, do you think that Version 17 will be the most current one at that point? Should I start planning on when I am going to upgrade? I now have V14sp2. Thanks

ANSI 5010 only applies if you are doing electronic billing direct to certain insurance carriers. We are running a 40% preorder discount on Medisoft v17, but you have to act fast because the sale ends on 9/17/2010

So if I submit electronic claims through Emdeon and not directly to the insurance company, my V14 is ok? And if so, am I going to be able to use it for the switch to ICD 10?
Thanks so much!!

You are probably doing a print-image mapping through Emdeon. Since the CMS-1500 forms are not changing you can continue to do this as long as Emdeon continues the mapping. You will likely need to do something about ICD-10s which will be a Medisoft v18 item.
