Creating New Practice

Is there a method of creating a new practice and exporting ONLY the patient demographics and scheduling from an existing practice? We were able to use the Medisoft utility to export demographics but it included a balance amount which we would like to avoid. Conversely is there a method of zeroing all balance amounts (essentially starting out billing all over)?

You can use the Medisoft utility MediUtils to run the Reset Patient Accountings to start a new practice with all the patients but no transactions. After that is done, you can run File Maintenance -> Recalculate All Balances to reset all the patient's account balances. If you need to move appointments over, MediUtils has an Import/Export function that will let you export the appointments out of one practice and import them into another practice. I hope that helps!
