New Medisoft Password Requirements

For the new password requirements for V26, how will that work when we upgrade? Will the user receive a prompt indicating he/she must change the password? OR must we change the password to the new 8 character minimum requirements prior to upgrading?

OK Steve, the documentation is kinda confusing. It boils down like this.

1. Your old password is now in ALL CAPS! Any letters in your password are now UPPER CASE. Digits and other symbols remain the same. Feel free to change this after logging in by going to File > Security Settings.
2. If your password is less than 8 characters in length, then you will be prompted to change it on your first login.
3. If you did not have users and passwords setup in Medisoft, then one was generated for you during the upgrade conversion. Refer to the user manual to see what the user and password is.
