error 5185

I'm testing out V24 Medisoft Report Professional with Medisoft Advanced.

Initially after installing Medisoft Advanced in a local environment, everything works normal.

Then when I installed Medisoft Report Professional in the same standalone machine, now I can't open Medisoft Advanced anymore &
can't even open the Report Professional as will get:
"Error 5185: Local server connection are restricted in this environment
See the 5185 error code documentation for details. axServerConnect"

web search shows the following:
a) from Advantage server error guide
"Advantage Local Server connections are restricted when used from a web server, an application server, a terminal server, or any other type of middleware or server product used to access data on behalf of remote computers.
If you receive this error, it is because your application attempted to make a local server connection from one of these restricted environments."

b) from miracle support
To resolve this error, try creating an Ads.ini file in C:\Windows, C:\Windows\System32, C:\Medisoft\Bin, c:\Program Files(x86)\Advantage X.XX\Server with the lines:
[SETTINGS]
MTIER_LOCAL_CONNECTIONS=1

Both are suggesting correcting the problem within a server environment but I'm using a standalone for both the Medisoft Advanced & the

Hmm, are you also running Medisoft Advanced under Remote Desktop? That would explain the error.
