Medisoft v15 SP2 is Generally Available

Post by Gavin Walker » Mon Nov 23, 2009 11:02 pm

Medisoft Service Pack 2 (SP2) offers many new corrections and improvements to help manage a physician practice. Overall there were a total of 18 corrected defects within this release, some of the highlights include:

Medisoft and Office Hours Professional now install in the same directory
Modification made to now include Patient Flag on a default record or template
Added new Patient Quick Entry data duplication logic
Corrected a UB-04 claim printing issue that allowed the description of the Revenue code to print instead of the Procedure code description.

I'm curious, Medisoft has added some verbage to the Service Pack installation instructions that I have not seen before. They indicate that you must also install the latest EDI update with SP2, or risk data corruption.

Is it not entirely clear to me to whom they are speaking. The implication is that they are directing this warning to all Medisoft users.

Is this warning applicable to someone still printing claims in report format to a disk file and then manually uploading those to their clearinghouse? Someone who has not subscribed/enabled any EDI modules?

Thank you.

That warning only applies to those who are using any EDI modules. Everyone else can ignore it.
