Entering ICD9 Codes for New Dx Codes

When entering new dx codes on the Diagnosis code List, we still have to enter a corresponding ICD 9 code in the ICD 9 code field OR claims end up with a status of Dx Error. Does e-Mds plan on changing this so the ICD9 code field can be blank when creating a new dx code?
