PQRS requirements

Post by Bridges3114 » Tue Feb 16, 2016 4:44 pm

Counselors requiring PQRS submission to Medicare, how are required Quality Date Codes i.e. G8427 added to the service line? I was told by Medicare that this QDC needed to be entered under the CPT code 90834. There could be up to 4 QDC codes to be linked to one date and the CPT,which also need to be linked in section J, with the rendering provider (counselor) NPI.

Just setup Procedure Code G8427 for $0.00 in Medisoft. In Transaction Entry, enter that procedure code under 90834 or where ever it needs to be reported and set the attending provider to the rendering provider for that charge line. Do this on all your Medicare claims or to whichever insurance needs this reporting.
