The current version of Medisoft is v20. While Medisoft is currently in the process of being certified for Windows 10, I have not heard this will be released on Medisoft v21 or not.
Our initial testing with Medisoft v20 show that it works with Windows 10, but I have not heard about anyone that is using it in a live environment yet.

Medisoft worked fine on my laptop with Windows 10...but when I upgraded my desktop to Windows 10 it would not open...it would just freeze.

Medisoft is incompatible with another program that is running. Possibly your anti-virus or your computer needs a reboot to finish Windows updates.

As I posted elsewhere, reboot didn't work for me. When I left it alone without tinkering anything by morning it works!! Perhaps there might be some WIn10 patches which get installed or as Gavin suggests some components of Win10 might still be working on the background and might be taking longer.

I found that I can get it to work, but if I try to change practices at times it freezes. So I would close Outlook and generally that would allow the practice to open (surprising it's happening as I have 32GB of RAM).

I am finding that Outlook 2013 interferes with Medisoft on Windows 10 as well as most of the other programs in the Office 2013 suite. It didn't seem to be so much of a problem on Windows 8.

Gavin does Office 2010 also pose a problem? I don't use outlook but do use excel/word

There are so many programs that interfere with Medisoft startup, it is hard to keep track of them all. If Medisoft freezes on startup, exit your programs one at a time. Don't forget the programs in the system tray. When you stop the culprit, Medisoft will immediately finish starting up. Sometimes Office programs still remain running and you have to find and kill them in Task Manager.

My computer still does that off and on. Medisoft, after putting in the login credentials, just keeps on waiting forever before it opens. What has worked for me now is:
-Open the task manager
-select medisoft in the list of running applications
-right click and select "Go to details"
-in the next screen make sure medisoft is still selected and right click to select "analyze wait chain"
-It will show you the program which is preventing medisoft from starting up. You can choose to close the offending program right from there and medisoft will immediately start
For me it is some kind of a printer spooler which is preventing and as soon as I kill it, it starts up.
