Installing Medisoft v.19 hotfix

Post by baybridge88 » Sun Jul 19, 2015 8:19 pm

I had a MedTechSys installed MS v.19 hotfix into my server last week. Upon perusing this site, I learned that all my clients stations need to be at the same level of service pack, otherwise, this mismatch may cause date corruption.
- How do I check if they are at the same level?
- I try to installed the MS v.19 hotfix into my home computer, following the instruction to download "arc32" from Sybase, then supposed to find mwddf.add in my Medidata, but there only is "mwddf". I click on it anyway, and I got a Advantage Data Architect screen, which ask my user ID and password. I never have/created one. What am I doing wrong?

Go to Help -> About Medisoft to see what version of Medisoft you have.

You can skip the part about ARC32. Although in rare instances you might need to do that to get your data to convert, we have never run into this situation and we have done hundreds of upgrades.

I have a single user license for Medisoft vs 19 on my pc. Want to also load onto my laptop. I understand I also have to install the hotfix so both computers are using the same version. Is this something I can do myself? Thank you

Yeah, just install Medisoft v19 service pack 1 first. If you don't have the right version installed, then the hot fix won't let you install it.

Installed okay, but Office Hours is showing up in registration window as separate product and asks for diffterent serial number than my Medisoft vs 19 serial number. Won't let me go any further with the process. What do I need to do??

Go into Medisoft and register that. Once Medisoft is registered, you shouldn't have to register Office Hours. If you can't get past the prompt, just enter 282801234567890 for the Office Hours serial #.

Hi Gavin, on my PC, in the register window, it lists only Medisoft Pt Accting and it has been registered for two years. When I try to install on my laptop, within the register window it lists BOTH Medisoft Pt Accting and Office Hours. The Medisoft serial is correct and matches with my Cert of Authenticity. I've tried entering the same serial # as Medisoft, no luck, have tried the # you gave me, no luck............and it won't let me register without having a different serial # for Office Hours??? I uninstalled and tried reinstalling both the express and custom options to see if there was a way to NOT install Office Hours but it didn't give me that option.

I'm so frustrated.....just went into Medisoft on my PC to look at the registration window again. I think I tried to open twice in error, said the practice was already open on another computer. Closed out and tried to open again, now I received the following error message: Class not registered, Class ID: {3BE4F94B-E579-4235-8A8C-98B2F2EE9928} Not sure how much you delve into the tech end of things......not a good night for me...,, any suggestions?
