First, it introduces Medisoft Clinical. Medisoft Clinical combines the practice management capabilities of Medisoft v15 with the rebranded Practice Partner® Patient Records electronic health record (EHR) into one solution.
Second, this release includes the integration of Focus Reports (now Medisoft Reports) into Medisoft Advanced and Medisoft Network Professional. Now with Medisoft Reports, you have access to more than 200 standard reports and up to 368 reports if you upgrade to Medisoft Reports Professional. As a result, reporting is no longer a weakness of Medisoft; it is a strength.
Third, the release includes several enhancements to improve accounting and billing processes, scheduling workflow and overall usability of the software. For example:
- Missed co-payments are now reflected as part of a patient’s balance on the remainder statement, helping to maximize reimbursement
The Statement Management grid has been expanded to show the remainder balance, making it easy to identify accounts with balances.
A hot-key link has been added to the Collection List so that when F7 is pressed the Quick Ledger opens for the patient that is attached to the selected collection list item.
All windows that contain a chart number selector now feature a hotkey that when pressed automatically populates the chart number for the past patient accessed.
You can now print blank superbills for walk-in patients.
If an appointment is entered or edited for a patient who already has a future appointment scheduled, an indicator message will warn you of a prior scheduled appointment.
