ub04 statement date not pulling from enter transactions

For outpatient there are times a patient is seen more then one time at a practice; instead of the statement date for the UB04 pulling from the date of service entered into enter transactions for electronic claims it only it pulls from the last date entered and holds that date in the statement date of the UB04, in other words it has to be manually changed. Can this be changed so that it pulls the date from enter transactions for electronic claims? If it is a paper claim it does in fact pull from enter transactions date of service. I don't understand why that would be different? This would be box 6 on the UB04.
