Diagnostic pointers

Post by Jan » Tue May 27, 2014 1:01 pm

I have the new Medisoft v19 version and numbers are still being posted on claims instead of letters. How do I change the diagnostic pointer?

Make sure you are using a report template with 2/12 in its name.

Unfortunately, that didn't work.

Which report are you selecting?

I'm selecting one I made up because Medisoft didn't line up the report correctly. Is there a specific claim name that is new with v19?

You will need to select one of the reports with 2/12 in its name and then make your changes to line it up with your printer. If you purchased your software from us or have support with us, private message me your email address and I will send you a step by step guide that will walk you through lining up the claim form. You want to avoid moving individual fields around because that is tedious.

Thank you. That works. It isn't completely lined up, but I think I can fix it. Unfortunately, I didn't buy the software from you, though I will in the future. AZcomp doesn't offer any support that doesn't cost a fortune.

The last problem is that the diagnosis doesn't have a decimal. I'm assuming the insurance company will reject any claims like that.

Due to space requirements on the CMS-1500 2/12 form, the decimal points are left out of ICD-9 codes on the form.
