Moving from 32-bit Advantage to 64-bit

Post by cborders » Mon May 19, 2014 2:10 pm

Currently, I am running Medisoft on a Windows 2008 server and the 32-bit Advantage Database on a 2003 Server. I have upgraded another server to Windows 2008 server and installed 64-bit Advantage. I would like to move Medisoft data to the new 2008 server. Is there anything I need to worry about or prepare for before I do this? I assume I will need to delete accounts out of the account list then re-add them after I have set up the new 'share' on the new server. I also have all my accounts in the backup scheduler which I will probably have to remove and then re-add as well. Unless, there is an easier way. It would be nice to modify the Advantage table to change the UNC to point to the new box/share.

That is about as easy way to do it as any.
