We are currently running Medisoft Advanced v8 sp1 in XP mode virtual PC. We are upgrading to v19 to be installed on the same computer but in Windows 7. Any tips you can give about smoothly transferring data from the older version to the new?

I saw a previous post about creating a blank new practice in Medisoft v19, running a backup of the old Medisoft version, then restoring the backup into the blank new practice. Would this apply to our situation as well?

Also, two years back when we got our new computer you were able to advise me about resetting the screen resolution to allow us to print properly in XP virtual mode. I am assuming that we can return to the normal wide screen resolution once the program is running in Windows 7.

Yes, follow to same instruction to move to a new computer. Printing in Medisoft works downright goofy in Medisoft under XP Mode, and Medisoft v19 will function much better if installed directly on Windows 7 or 8 Pro.
