Release Time Frames and Supported Operating Systems

On Wednesday, July 31, McKesson announced the time frames when new versions of Practice Partner, Medisoft and Lytec will be released and the supported operating systems for these versions. Below are links to emails McKesson will send to their entire database of Practice Partner, Medisoft and Lytec customers.

Release Time Frame for Version 11.0 of Practice Partner, Version 19 of Medisoft, and Version 2014 of Lytec: Q4 2013

Release Time Frame for Version 19 of Medisoft Clinical and Version 2014 of Lytec MD: Q1 2014

Supported Operating Systems for Version 11.0 of Practice Partner, Version 19 of Medisoft Clinical, and Version 2014 of Lytec MD (When Released): Vista Business sp2 or higher, SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher (for those using SQL Sever), and Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher (NOT Windows Server 2011).

Windows XP and Windows 2003 will not be supported for version 11.0 of Practice Partner, Version 19 of Medisoft Clinical, and Version 2014 of Lytec MD when they are released.

Supported Operating Systems for Version 19 of Medisoft and Version 2014 of Lytec (When Released): Windows XP Pro sp3 or higher, SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher (Lytec), and Windows Server 2003 sp2 or higher (NOT Windows Server 2011).

The Medisoft link is out of date. Any word if Medisoft V19 will be compatible with Windows 8? Thanks!

Since the links were bad, I gathered the essential information and included in my post above. Yes, we recommend Windows 8 Pro with 4 GB or more RAM and gigabit or faster network.
