Calculate Patient Remainder Balances

I have patient accounts that once a takeback is done, instead of the balance showing under insurance responsibility, it is still listed under patient responsibility. I thought the problem was related to calculating patient remainder balances. we currently have it checked in program options as none of the above. Could this be the reason for the problem.If I change it to after Medisoft closes, what will be the effect of making this change?

That is correct. If you apply an Insurance Takeback then the balance goes to patient responsibility or the next payer. It sounds like you need to reenter this as an Insurance Adjustment if that is what this really is.
