Restoring deleted reports

Post by MaggieK » Wed Aug 15, 2012 6:44 pm

We accidentally deleted a custom HCFA 1500 report that our vendor designed for us to do our electronic billing. Is there some way we can restore this report without doing a complete restoration of our data files? We don't want to lose all the data we've entered since the date this report went missing.

Thanks!

You should really consider switching to Revenue Management and submit your claims in ANSI 5010 format rather than print image.

What you can do is create a blank new practice and then restore your backup into the empty practice. Then in new practice that is your backup, go to Tools -> Add/Copy User Reports. Select the report you need to copy and then click the Copy button. Now open your original practice data and go back into Add/Copy User Reports and click the Add button this time. Browse to the location where you copied the report to and you should be able to then add it back into your original database.
