Medisoft Watchdog

What is the Medisoft Watchdog program used for, and does anyone find it useful?

There does not seem to be any documentation online that explains the uses of this program.

Hi Dan, Watchdog is used in conjunction with Communication Manager/Messenger. It will detect when Communication Messenger has stopped or locked up and restart it. Watchdog can create its own set of problems, so we only recommend using it if you have a problem with Communication Messenger stopping. Rumor has it that Communication Manager, Watchdog, and all other interface software for Medisoft, Lytec, and Practice Partner will be replaced by Mirth connections.
