Revenue Management Error 5004

Post by BLuLQQker » Thu Feb 16, 2012 1:01 pm

Everything is working fine on my desktop with the new V.17 program.
However when I installed the program on my laptop Medisoft worked fine But during the Rev. Management portion, I was interrupted and canceled that part of the install, now I'm getting a big message I can't
even close out of...
"advantage.Data.Provider.AdsException:Error 5004 Either Ace could not find the
specified file or you do not have sufficient rights to the file. The data dictionary is not found on the server". yada yada yada.
Can you help me ?
Thanks so much.......if you need the whole message I can come back and type it all out :)

I would try uninstalling all your old Medisoft and then reinstall Medisoft v17 sp2.1 from here.

Uninstall Medisoft, Office Hours Pro, Advantage ODBC/ADO drivers, Focus Reports, Final Draft, and Crystal Reports in the opposite order they were installed. Select Rollback when presented wtih the option. After uninstalling everything, delete the Medisoft\Bin folder.

OK, went to reinstall from the disk and it says I/O error.
a corrupt installation file.
Which isn't true cause I put the program successfuly on a third Laptop yesterday.
Something from the old install must of been left behind.
Bummer.

Try deleting all files in C:\Temp and disable your anti-virus.
