Enter Claim Reason Codes and Print them on your Statements

Medisoft Advanced and Network Pro allows you to enter the reason for denial code while entering the EOB. Your statements can be setup to automatically print these reason codes out so the patient will know the reason for denial.

Run your Insurance Aging Reports monthly using custom aging breakdown periods to look for potential problems.

Hi Gavin,

I have Medisoft v14 network pro, could you let me know where and how to put the reason codes so that they appear on pt. statements.

Go to Lists -> Claim Rejection Messages and enter the codes you want into Medisoft.

If the EOB shows a code for a certain procedure, you can enter or select the code in the Rejection field found in the Apply Payment/Adjustments to Charges window. You can then format a statement that prints transaction statement notes. See Format/Design Reports within Medisoft Help (or use can use the Statement Wizard to create such a statement). Using this reformatted statement, the program prints the claim rejection messages on patient statements.
