Default Modifiers

If you have a procedure that uses the same set of modifiers most of the time, you can enter up to four default modifiers on that procedure. When you use that procedure in Transaction Entry, the default modifers will populate. You may then change those modifier codes or continue entering the next procedure.

A Few tips that I have discovered while working with this field:

1. Some modifiers do not appear to fit in the box provided onscreen (QP for example). But you can go ahead and type up to two characters and they will flow over to the transaction entry screen, even if you cannot fully see the modifier.

2. You cannot enter the second modifier until the first one is entered. So, even though it does not look like you can enter four modifiers, just start typing them in and the other boxes will become enabled as you need them.
