For those of you on Medisoft Advanced or Network Pro, you can setup user level security within Medisoft for specific job functions of staff in your office. This will help eliminate possible HIPAA violations.

Medisoft offers extensive user-level security. You can grant office staff up to five different levels of access based on their job description. User accounts can then be attached to one of the access levels effectively granting or restricting different user access. Just make sure you always have at least two Medisoft users with level one access level in case someone forgets their password.

What if you didn't set up two users, and now the one login is expired?

This is part of the reason why I suggest setting up 2 users with level 1 access. You need a level 1 to setup more users. Now you will need to work with a Medisoft re-seller who can do a password recovery. We are currently charging $50 to do a Medisoft password recovery and you can purchase that here from our shopping cart.
