Hi,

Some of the provider expect progress report along with the claim or for secondary attaching EOB of primary or any other document which needs to be sent for appeal.

How do we attach a document either in PDF or image format to a claim which will be sent via Trizetto using EDI interface?

Thanks in advance.

What insurance carrier and do they have any limitations on how to send the attachment? Usually you can say the paperwork is available upon request and then make sure you have the document available.

On the Case -> Diagnosis tab -> EDI Report frame. Enter the Report Type Code (use 09 for Progress Report), Report Transmission Code (AA = On Request or BM = By Mail), and Attachment Control Number (your own unique number to reference the attachment with).
