How to identify Secondary claims under Revenue Managment (RM)

Post by rprasadb2000 » Wed Dec 28, 2016 1:38 pm

1. How do we identify claims which are to be sent out to secondary payer?
a. Under RM when we Select (from top menu item) -> Secondary -> Ready to Send->
i. The report comes with Primary status as “Done” & Secondary status as “Ready”
ii. But the above report also list the claims which do not need secondary at all
iii. So in the above list how do we filter the claims which are to be sent out to secondary?

If the Secondary Status is "Ready" then it should be ready to send. The statuses can be manually changed which could be done incorrect.

The problem we are facing is that, even there is no payment due on secondary insurance (allowed is paid by primary), secondary is not marked done and coming as Ready.

We need to clear a backlog from last one year from the previous biller but not finding a way to filter for genuine secondary claims as ready.

Hmm, I don't see how it would hurt to go ahead and file the $0 claims along with the rest of the claims in the batch.
