Medisoft version 9

Post by SaraR » Thu Dec 08, 2016 11:11 pm

Yes I'm OLD. my boss hasn't quite decided to upgrade and soon I hope to get him to. My problem is getting other computers to "talk" to the server. I have the server ( a computer used solely to house the data) and 2 computers hooked to it. My computer died and I am desperately trying to get the new one to talk to it. I can SEE the drive it's on HOWEVER NO MATTER WHAT I TRY IT SAYS THE DEFAULT DIRECTORY NEEDS shared. I have tried for hours and EVERY TIME WE hook up a new computer we have this issue and it's ALWAYS a little different. How can I KNOW what or how the other computer is hooked to the server files so that I can get in? Please help! Sara.

Hi Sara, what version of Window is it and is it a server, professional, or home edition of Windows? Are you having trouble on the server or data host machine or is this one of the workstations?
