ADS on Windows 10 Pro?

Post by drk » Mon Feb 22, 2016 9:23 am

Is anyone running the ADS on Windows 10? Any issues?

I am running ADS on Win 7 Pro without issues and am getting the Upgrade to Windows 10 nags...

Thanks.

So far Advantage v11.1 works on Windows 10. I do not know of anyone using Advantage v11.1 on Windows 10 as a data host in a live environment and this configuration is NOT recommended.

Gavin, can you elaborate why it it NOT recommended?

If I wanted to test this setup (ADS on a Win 10 Pro box, MediSoft clients on Win 7 or Win 10), is a 30-day trial of ADS and/or Medisoft available? This would be strictly for temporary (evaluation) purposes, completely insulated from my production server.

Windows 10 and desktop computers are not designed to be servers. You can use the serial and validation from your Windows 7 computer to install the version of Advantage you have on Windows 10. You may have to stop Advantage on the Windows 7 computer before it will start on the Windows 10 and vice-versa.
