problem with claim

Post by lbuckmiller » Tue Dec 01, 2015 6:29 pm

I send about 25 claims together and one claim was rejected with an error phrase. I have deleted the complete claim and patient and re entered everything and tried again and still receive the same message on this one patient. the message reads ( Missing formation ( element) Info is missing or invalid for billing provider primary ID in claim source script using these fields: provider ID info, provider claim type field, group ID info, NPI field, provider ID info, NPI field ANSI ref= 2010AA-NMI-NM109.
Not sure what to do about this one. The insurance is one I use for others. Hopefully you can help
thanks Linda

The billing NPI number is missing. Do you have the same attending provider on those charges?

Look in Medisoft. Is the same provider setup twice? Maybe attending provider wasn't selected on one of the charges. Add that to the grid in Transaction Entry to see.

Double-click the claim in Claims Management. Its the Frequency Type field.
