How do I get Medisoft to show 12 diagnosis codes.

I just upgraded to Version 20 basic. How do I get it to show 12 diagnosis codes A-L? It still shows the standard 4 codes. How do I get the Transaction Entry to show more codes to be able to print up to the 12 on the CMS1500 form?

Go to File -> Program Options -> Data Entry Tab and enter into the Number of Diagnosis field a value between 4 and 12 for the number of diagnosis codes that you intend to utilize.

We would like to have all 12 diagnosis codes on the claims but really don't need to see them all on the transaction entry screen. Can we make some of the go away?

You can set the program option back to what you want to see, but if the diagnosis code was entered it will print on the claim.

Just for clarification - I have changed it back to 4 codes but if 5 or more codes are listed on this claim they will truly submit with all of them?

Yes, but you won't see it. So I can see how this can get confusing if you choose to do this.

There is no place in the system for me to view all of the codes attached to claim?

Transaction Entry would be the ideal place. Why don't you want to see them in there?

Every column listed on the transaction entry screen takes up space and in all practical purposes, we won't need that many codes. They still need to be acknowledged when submitted and viewable to audit the accounts.

Drag the columns you don't want to view over to the far right.

So, you're telling me there is no other place to view the Dx codes that are attached to a claim?

You can see them in Claims Management -> Transactions tab.

I have followed all your steps but once I try to open up program options I receive an error that says "tblOptions: Field 'Use_Tran_Entry' not found" I have full access and permissions to the system and it is not allowing me to make an adjustments in the program options screen.

You have data corruption. You'll need to work with a Medisoft VAR who can fix your data. We currently charge $300 to fix v20 data. Private message me if you need us to do this for you.
