automatic chart numbers

Since we bill for a couple of different facilites it would be nice to be able to have a unique prefix to the chart number so when someone sends in a payment we can tell which facility they are with. I know we can enter our own prior to medisoft assigning it but it would be preferable to have medisoft assign the correct number since its hard to know what number your on or what has already been assigned. Is there a way to automatically put a prefix on the chart number that are automatially assigned. thanks!

One way to do this would be to switch to numeric chart numbers and seed each practice with the next highest chart number. 100,000 for practice 1, 200,000 for practice 2, etc. Then use the chart numbering utility in MediUtils to fix up existing chart numbers that you have.
