I installed Advantage 8.1 on server (vista/sp2&updates) per instructions "installation instructions for Medisoft 14 network professional".
I installed Medisoft V14 per "step two option B".
launch Medisoft and a box pops up for data location (c:\medidata\) and a file Mwdblist.adt.
I do not have data - only a backup mw[date].mbk.
How do I get Medisoft to start so I can restore backup per instructions I found on board?

During the install wizard of the Medisoft, make sure you pick Network Pro (1818) and not Demo or Advanced.

Now create a Share on your server machine called "MediData" and browse to that share through Network Neighborhood. MWDBList and the rest of the files in the MediData root folder will auto-generate.
