Will Version 19 Be the Last Version of Medisoft??

I have heard rumors that Version 19 will be the last version of Medisoft to be released as McKesson will be transitioning everyone to their more costly SAAS model and discontinue releasing future desktop/server versions of Medisoft. Any truth to these rumors?

McKesson has not made any announcements of discontinuing Medisoft. Version 19 is scheduled for release at the end of this year. There is a new pricing model for Medisoft where you can purchase it on a subscription basis with monthly support and training hours instead of purchasing when each version is released.

Hmmm...for the subscription basis, what is the pricing for Network Pro if upgrading from V18? And I'm sure if they discontinued the desktop/server version and only offered SAAS, a lot of people would be unhappy (too expensive).

We are currently charging $249/month. Comes with Medisoft Network Pro and all future updates, Advantage 5-user and future database upgrades, support, 28 hours per year of implementation/training, and Practice Choice Standard web portal for one provider.

Yes, but that includes an EMR, which most of my clients don't need. And I'm sure if McKesson forces docs to switch to web-based, many docs will switch away due to the high prices.

The setup for EMR is optional, in fact most of the ones I set this up on are just doing it for the Medisoft subscription.
