reports question

for the month of april i did a flash report and also i ran a patient day sheet ( date created was used) there are 2 different totals.
My day sheet says more than the flash report
i know the doctor will question why? can you help

The Flash Report doesn't have Date Created as a selection criteria. So you can't run another report with Date Created selected to compare to the Flash Report.

Maybe it is because the transactions were entered on different dates than the dates you ran the day sheet for. Did you also select by Date From? Try running for all Date Created but just select Date From.

i run a day sheet and get paid by the date created (total receipts) on the patient day sheet because i could be posting something from jan or feb
but when the doctor looks at the flash report it has a different total
i need to explain why but i cant because i dont understand why.

Because the Flash report doesn't filter by Date Created. So if Date From on a particular transaction is 1/1/2012 but Date Created is 5/1/2012, if you run a report from 1/1/2012 through 1/31/2012 on Date Created, the transaction will not print. But if you run the same report by Date From from 1/1/2012 through 1/31/2012, the transaction will print. It sounds like you need a custom Flash report that filters by Date Created.
