Are you entering through Deposit Entry? Deposit Entry has a separate column for Payments and Adjustments.

Deposit Entry is faster and you can check that the whole EOB has been posted. In Transaction Entry it is easier to make mistakes if you get interrupted in the middle of posting an EOB.

is that the only advantage is posting quicker thru the money bag?
what about reports when posting the other way?

If entered correctly, both methods will produce the same reports. I suggest entering something into each column of Deposit Entry in the tutorial database. Then go into Transaction Entry and see what payment/adjustment records are generated.

Go to File -> Open Practice. If you don't have a tutorial database, you can add the tutorial. Make sure you switch back to your live practice after you are done testing.
