Lab Reports Section

Post by drmurphy » Thu Nov 28, 2019 1:16 am

Since it is much easier to navigate, we religiously sign the labs under "Lab Notes". This is the section on the bottom right of the dashboard. When a patient comes in for results we review the labs under "Lab Reports" from within the patient's chart.
The "Lab Notes" section does get cleared out every now and then, but the "Lab Reports" section has never been cleared out.
Before you criticize, we do give the patients the results, but from within the patient's chart. That section is very cumbersome to load and sign.

The question:
I'm sure that all of those labs are taking up quite a bit of space, or are they? Is there a way that we can periodically batch sign all of these labs for both doctors, to keep the system cleaner? Is this necessary at all?

Thank you

Not that I know of. There could be important stuff in those labs, so there could be some liability if the system shows you signed off on a lab that you didn't review.
