As McKesson mentioned during the November 2012 MIX presentations, Medisoft® Clinical v19 and Lytec® MD v2014 will no longer utilize Communications Manager. MPIC™ will be used as an integration engine for Demographics, Appointments, and Billing Interfaces between the McKesson Practice Management System and the McKesson EMR only.

You can upgrade to the MPIC integration engine (at no cost) if you are on the following Medisoft Clinical or Lytec MD versions:

• Medisoft Clinical v18 and above
  Lytec MD v2013 and above

To upgrade to the MPIC integration engine, click the appropriate link in the following table. After opening the zip file, refer to the MPIC Installation and User’s Guide to install and configure the MPIC.

Note: Existing installations of the Communications Manager software will not be affected. Please refer to the table below.
