Clinical 9.3.1 install

Post by Jimbo_mmc » Thu Oct 06, 2011 9:29 am

We are trying to upgrade our practices from a stacked database server setup to a virtual server for each practice. Going from clinical 9.3.1 to 9.5
Only one practice has been upgraded successfully, but broke the other practices that are still on the stacked server. We are running server 2003 r2 sp2 and ran all updates.
We are trying to install 9.3.1 on a virtual server to convert it to 9.4 then 9.5, but once the clinical client is installed and launched on the server it says: "Please install Medisoft before running patient records"
This is also occuring on a fresh xp install as well.

Any help would be much appreciated

Advantage must be installed and running on the server you are migrating to. You might need to buy another license of Advantage if you are still running Advantage on another server.

Here is a knowledgebase article that might help: LINK REMOVED

The old Medisoft knowledgebase is completely gone now, so I removed the link.

Gavin,
Thank you very much for you assistance on this. The issue is we are installing 15 sp1 without installing 15 first. I added the registry key and it is now working.
Now we can move on.
You have been very helpfull!!
