Patient Records - Please Install Medisoft First Message

Post by ptpsupport » Sat May 19, 2018 2:55 pm

Got a server on Medisoft 19 SP1 (v19.1.3.38) that has had no updates or anything run on it but all of a sudden when we open Medisoft Clinical Patient Records it is telling me "Please install Medisoft before trying to run Patient Records". Medisoft is working just fine but we can't open Patient Records anymore. The post below called Clinical 9.3.1 install had a similar issue but the link is removed and their comment mentioned a registry entry but no way to find out what that was. Any ideas or do you remember by chance?

To anyone else having issues with this error, I removed some of the 30+ Windows updates that were applied to Server 2008 R2 a few days before to resolve this error message. I believe we are running Patient Records 9.5.

I am trying to remember how we solved this. Is Advantage installed on the Clinical application server? Is drive P mapped and the user can browse to it without prompting for a login?

Make sure User Account Control is disabled through the registry. We have a .REG file we run at our customer's sites.

Any other suggestions for this bug? I had a server that lost trust in the domain because of an out of sync clock. After fixing the issue all clients and the server's own application present this message.

Try restarting the Advantage service.
