NPI/Legacy Identifier Update

CMS has announced that any NEW submitters enrolling for EDI services after September 30, 2007 must enroll using their NPI. Legacy IDs will not be accepted.
Effective October 1, 2007 providers will need to obtain an NPI, as a condition for initial enrollment, for the use of EDI. You can find more information about the requirement for an NPI to use EDI transactions, by going to CR 5637.
