RR Medicare

Post by dborders » Mon Oct 25, 2010 8:06 pm

I am getting denials from RRMC with the following error: "Service facility name required postal and zip must be eneterd also". I have all the information there but it is not going through on my claims for some reason. My facilitys are different than my practice so I am not sure what to do and RR MC has been no help they said it is medisoft. PLEASE HELP I need to get these claims rebilled.

Thank you

Hi Dawn it sounds like these are paper claims. If you preview the claims on screen does anything appear in box 32? This information pulls from the Case Windows -> Account Tab -> Facility field.

When I print to the screen that box is blank, that is why I don't know what is going on, becuase It is there under the acct tab and facility is there with all the info, but it is not printing.

OK, the transaction facility will override anything you put on the case facility. Go to Transaction Entry and edit your Grid Columns (click the dot in the upper left corner) and then add the facility column.

OK, the Claim Facility might be missing. Add Facility to the Claim grid and see what value is there. Medisoft is supposed to keep the transaction Facility and Claim Facility in sync, but on some older versions of Medisoft, this did not always work.

You can run C:\Medisoft\Bin\Mediutils.exe -> Update Claim Facilities to fix this.

You can also manually fix the claim by deleting it and recreating the claim.
