We are currently using Change (formerly Emdeon, formerly Capario) and we were told we could send work comp claims electronically and by paper - which they would mail and track AND that supporting documentation could be attached to both types of claims.
Once we switched over to their premium portal use, we were THEN told attachments can only be made to work comp payers that have an EDI # and are contracted with this clearinghouse. Ones that are not contracted would have to be mailed in and tracked - which they offer - but you have to send your own attachments separately ??? which carriers do not permit most of the time.
Gripe session over. Any recommendations/input would be appreciated!
