Congress Delivers Importand Medicare Improvement to SGR

On April 15, the U.S. Congress overwhelmingly approved a measure to forever change the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) for Part B physician compensation. The measure, the Medicare Access and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Reauthorization Act (H.R. 2), changes the Medicare physician compensation scheme, helps decelerate healthcare budget enlargement, and increases healthcare treatment for children.
