New HICFA's

Post by missmissy67 » Tue Sep 23, 2014 9:16 am

Hi,
I work for a physician that hasn't upgraded from Medisoft V17 as of yet as we are a small practice. I was told that we didn't need to upgrade because they postponed the ICD-10 till October 2015.
I send most of my claims electronic but some I do have to print. For the most part the insurance companies are still accepting the old claim forms but some of the Government Insurance companies are not is there any way I can print these without upgrading to Medisoft v18 or higher?
As of right now my supervisor is telling me to hand write them as I don't have that many but I know eventually all of the insurance companies are going to start denying them. HELP :(

Thanks
Michelle

Hi Michelle, you need Medisoft v19 or higher for the new CMS-1500 claim form that was required on 4/1/2014. Most government payers won't take hand written forms either.
