Provider Enrollment News - WPS

WPS has discontinued linking provider ID's to Clearinghouse Submitter IDs. This means your clearinghouse will NO LONGER need to submit the EDI Enrollment Form if you have been set up to send to WPS electronically in the past.
This will include the areas of Iowa, Kansas, Kansas City, Nebraska, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Missouri.
Going forward, your clearinghouse should be able to inform WPS via e-mail when you have been setup to send electronically. They can then go ahead and set you up in their system without having to wait for approvals.
This only pertains to 837 claims. The agreement is still needed for Electronic Remittance Advice set-ups or for any provider who is not currently set up to send to WPS electronically.
