In what way(s) will Medisoft version 17 not accomodate ICD-10? It does allow enought digits for the longer diagnosis codes, and all of the digits show up in my 837 file. Thanks!

ICD-9 or ICD-10 will need to be sent on the claim depending on the service discharge date and the insurance company. Medisoft v19 can be setup to automatically send the correct code if you code ICD-10s in Medisoft. In addition there is a new CMS-1500 form that will be required by 4/1/2014 and there are some updates to the ANSI 5010 I-Guide in Revenue Management for ICD-10. All of this is available in Medisoft v19.

What are the changes in the ANSI 5010 I-Guide that will make billing ICD-10 dx codes with version 17 impossible?

Not impossible. You can always customize your I-Guide.

There is a new paper claim form required on 4/1/2014 and ICD-10 codes are required on 10/1/2014.
