Legacy Provider Numbers on GatewayEDI claims

As of May 23, 2008, Gateway EDI will no longer be forwarding legacy provider numbers on Medicare claims, as CMS has ruled that Medicare will not accept legacy numbers after this date.
If legacy numbers are sent on inbound claims, Gateway EDI will suppress these numbers on their outbound Medicare files at the payer’s request.
